One of the most versatile sprint car drivers on the scene, Landon Simon and Landon Simon Racing have tallied wins with every touring spring car series in the country, competing from coast to coast since his rookie year in 2008. Landon, the son of sprint car driver Chris Simon, was a sprint car fan from birth. He spent his time outside of school working with his father along with legendary drivers Jack Hewitt and Jimmy Stinson. He began crewing for the family car, then driver by Matt Westfall, at the age of 13.
Landon began pursuing his own career in motorsports as a driver after being injured in an accidental shooting at the age of 17. He began building his first sprint car during his junior year of high school while recovering from his injuries. During his rookie year, he was named Dayton Area Race Fans Rookie of the Year and won Waynesfield Raceway Park's Rookie of the Year award. From there, Landon was able to pilot the LSR sprint car as well as drive for teams out of Ohio and Indiana before relocating to Indianapolis in 2013.
Landon has become known for both his driving prowess and his focus on strategic marketing partnerships. In 2018, Landon was able to add five victories to his win count and secure the Lucas Oil POWRI WAR Sprint League Championship.
