This weekend the Stewart #99 Wicked Cushion Midget will be driven by Chase Cabre! Chase recently won the V2R.tv award on iRacing.com. V2R.tv has the vision that “virtual racing” can become a genuine path to the top levels of motorsports by showcasing the skills and techniques that drives have learned while turning thousands of laps online and competing against thousands of racers season after season. V2R.tv creates competitions where the online drives can win the opportunity to drive a real race car in real racing conditions. Other Wicked Cushion affiliated drives that have won this award are Tim Smith from Toledo, Ohio and Anthony LoPresto from Hillsdale, Michigan.
Chase Cabre, 21, originally from Tampa, Florida was introduced to racing by his father who raced Motocross. Chase followed his father’s footsteps and began racing a PW50 dirt bike when he was only 4 years old. With their father, Chase and his brother travelled the country racing at the top levels in junior motocross. A move to go-karts started Chase’s climb up the ladder in auto-racing. From go-karts, Chase moved into Mico-Sprints and 360 Sprint Cars where he found instant success. Chase won 12 feature events in Micro-Sprints in his first full season of racing. before making his move into pavement racing. In 2017 Chase was picked up by the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Program to complete in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and still competes at the K&N Pro Series level. Chase also races in the NASCAR Whelen All American Series for Rev Racing as well as keeping true to his passion for dirt by racing 600cc Micro-Sprints. Chase’s dirt schedule will include the famous Tulsa Shootout in January!
